WOW...what a storm we had last night in northern New Jersey!

The weather in northern NJ last night was treacherous. I remarked to my husband while we were gazing out the window, that the storm seemed to be directly above our house!

Thunder and lightning danced across the sky and deafened our ears! It was, well, quite a storm.

We went to sleep with the comfort and knowledge of having our standby backup generator standing tall and ready to serve...

Ductless Air Conditioning  is the 'new new' thing!

As a little girl, I can remember fondly sleeping at my grandparent's apartment on a hot summer night in the late 1950s, with the venetian blinds open so that we got a little breeze.

No air conditioning for us back in those days...and no one else either. Boy, did it get hot!

You just couldn't cool off during the day or evening hours, and so upon the return home, I yearned for my parents to attach the oscillating sprinkler to a hose so I could run through the cold water.
