Now that we're into our winter season in northern New Jersey we thought we'd share some information with you. High efficiency heating equipment vents to the outdoors with PVC piping and does not use the chimney in your home. It is important that you visually inspect the outdoor vent during and after a snow storm of any significant accumulation to be sure that snow has not blocked the exterior vent pipe. A blocked vent pipe can prevent your furnace from operating properly. This is an important fact to remember for proper functionality and safety.
