Working
with Bornstein Sons is like travelling back in time, when professionalism, craftsmanship,
personal pride in the work that was done, integrity, and respect for the customer
mattered. Here’s how it worked. The phone was answered by an extremely knowledgeable
and very nice person – not an answering machine. An appointment was made, and
that’s exactly when the plumbing team arrived at my house. They diagnosed the
problem correctly (the first to do so, in a long and expensive line of attempts
by previous plumbers) and gave me the actual cost to repair it, not an estimate.
The job ended up taking longer than was originally thought – because partway
through, the plumbers determined that was what would be required to do the job
correctly vs. the way that would have been quicker and more financially advantageous
for them – and the price remained the same. In addition to being extremely competent,
the men were meticulous – about the work, the quality of their materials, careful
of my home, and particularly cleanup. Finally, Rich Fertel and his wife, Bonnie
Bornstein Fertel, guided me through the entire insurance process, including
being my advocate and, when I wasn’t gaining any ground, dealing directly with
my claims adjuster when they believed I was not being given the appropriate
settlement. I cannot speak highly enough Bornstein Sons.. I would never
use anyone else. Ever! Save yourself money, aggravation, mistakes … and
go directly to them. You’ll also meet some extremely nice and decent people
along the way.

Since the inception of our relationship, I have replaced two massive roof-top HVAC units. It goes without saying that I entrusted the complete purchase of the equipment and installation to BORNSTEIN SONS, INC. The equipment was better-quality than the units I replaced and it was priced very attractively. The installations were neat, clean, rapid, and comprehensive. BORNSTEIN SONS, INC. took care of everything – obtaining the proper permits and inspections, arranging the services of a crane to lower the old units and to hoist the new ones, and connecting the units to get the HVAC to operate properly – all within one business day.
