Many of our customers have asked that we install high efficiency gas fired warm air furnaces and boilers. A smart decision, no doubt! These systems save you a considerable amount on energy costs, provide superior comfort, and keep you toasty warm. BUT...with any appliance or mechanical equipment for your home or business, maintenance should not be ignored.

Now that we're into our winter season in northern New Jersey we thought we'd share some information with you. High efficiency heating equipment vents to the outdoors with PVC piping and does not use the chimney in your home. It is important that you visually inspect the outdoor vent during and after a snow storm of any significant accumulation to be sure that snow has not blocked the exterior vent pipe. A blocked vent pipe can prevent your furnace from operating properly. This is an important fact to remember for proper functionality and safety.

Annual maintenance and inspection of your gas heating equipment should be performed by a professional heating contractor. Our Prime Protection Plans offer this type of service and allows for discounts as well. There are also more comprehensive Service Contracts that offer additional coverage for repairs beyond the warranty period.

Be sure to change your disposable air filter monthly to ensure proper operation of your system! Need service? Schedule maintenance online now!
